Jason founded HCI Construction in 1997, a general contractor/subcontractor. His company is certified with the City of Cleveland as a Minority Business Enterprise. Jason built the company on a solid foundation and commitment to providing high quality construction services with the utmost integrity.
John has operated HCI since its inception in 1998. John has over 30 years of construction experience and oversees all field operations from a hands-on perspective. John carries the following personal certifications:
1. State licensed HVAC
2. State licensed Electrical
3. State Licensed Fire Alarm/Detection; Sprinklers/standpipe; Fire Service Main
4. TSI certified Asbestos Contractor Supervisor
5. 30 hour/10 hour/4 hour and OSHA safety certification
6. Army Corps of Engineer Quality Control Certification
7. OSHA certified “Competent Person” for excavation/trenching
Tom has successfully managed numerous projects over the last 25 years. Completed projects up to $20 million in value include new, renovations, additions, and build-outs for commercial, industrial, retail, and institutional for both private and public entities. Tom has completed projects as a Construction Manager, Design-Build, Prime, and General Contractor. Tom’s management experience extends to all aspects of the construction process including marketing, accounting, estimating, procurement, project management, and closeout.
Tom has completed numerous continuous training seminars including OSHA Safety 10 & 30 hour classes, OSHA Hazmat 8 & 40 hour classes, Nuclear Worker Training, Radiation Worker Training, Lead Supervisor Training, Fitness for Duty, Employee & Supervisor Substance Abuse “Train the Trainer”, CPR and First Aid.
Tom received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Bowling Green State University in 1989.
